Annual International Conference Call for Proposals
"Restructuring Government and Public Serviceto the Era of Digital Transformation and Pandemic"

The KAPA 2021 International Conference brings scholars and practitioners together to discuss important current and emerging issues and solutions in the public sector. This year¡¯s conference will take place entirely online after careful consideration of the state of the pandemic. The conference will be held through a live online platform starting Wednesday, June 23 through Friday, June 25.
Conference Theme and Tracks
Restructuring Government and Public Service to the Era of Digital Transformation and Pandemic
As an unprecedented wake-up call, the pandemic crisis makes the trajectories of government actions uncertain and challengeable ever before. Governments around the world have grappled with numerous organizational, managerial, and policy challenges. In responding to problems and limitations, governments have modernized quickly and accelerated innovative digital uptake to navigate an uncertain future. This year¡¯s conference commits to exchange research and practical insights for old problems to be addressed and restructured to provide new solutions as we move toward a new normal. Submissions are being solicited in the following tracks to help the Program Committee place submissions in the suited tracks. Every panel will be categorized into one of these tracks. Track 1: Cross-border collaboration and governance Track 2: Sustainable development and growth Track 3: Challenges, opportunities, and solutions Track 4: Social equity and inclusive society Track 5: New transition and practices in public administration Proposal Submission Information
Individual Papers
A single paper proposal must include 1) Conference Track, 2) Titles and Abstracts (no longer than 500 words) of Individual Paper, and 3) Author¡¯s Information (name, affiliation, position, and email address).
Panel To be considered, a fully formed panel proposal must include 1) Conference Track, 2) Panel Title, 3) Participants (One panel moderator, One-Two discussants, and Three-Four presenters), and 4) Titles and Abstracts (no longer than 500 words) of Individual Papers. The panel moderator serving as a panel organizer needs to add information for each participant¡¯s name, affiliation, position, and email address. All proposal submissions?should be directed to the Lindsey Lee at kapa21ic@gmail.com.
Important Dates
- Proposal Submission Due: April 10
- Accept/Reject Notifications: Early May - Full paper Submission Due: May 31 - 2021 International Conference: June 23- 25 Full papers should be submitted electronically to Lindsey Lee at kapa21ic@gmail.com by no later than May 31, 2021. All papers will be published in the electronic version of conference proceedings.
Information on Registration
All conference presenters and attendees are required to register by June 20th. There are two registration rates for this year¡¯s virtual conference: $30 (student) and $150 (standard).
