The Korean Association for Public Administration (KAPA) was founded in 1956. In the past fifty years KAPA has grown to include about 2,000 members and is now one of the leading professional organizations of Korean social science studies. In 2012, the executive council of KAPA will focus on the following goals to enhance the scholarly reputation of our organization and contribute to national and societal progress. We welcome active participation and encouragement from our members.

  • Organize two comprehensive academic conferences. The summer conference topic is "strategies for national development" and the winter conference topic is "livelihood and public administration."
  • Host state affairs debates on currently relevant policy topics.
  • Establish a consultative network with related associations for the cooperative development of public administration.
  • Provide a forum for in-depth academic debate, especially for young scholars through a monthly conference (lunch seminar).
  • Strengthen career support and PR for graduates of the public administration sector.
  • Enhance activities to share the Korean development experience and public administration knowledge with the global world.
